How it works

Zaragata is an expansion pack that talks. Put a sticker on each card of a game you already own, deal, and play as you always do. When somebody plays a loaded card, a character reads its rule out loud to the whole table, and it is rarely good news for them.

1. Stick

   Put a Zaragata sticker on each card in a deck you already own. The front works best, so you can see it while you play. It takes a few minutes, once.

   Every loaded card can carry any rule. You do not pick which card gets which: that happens when you deal.

2. Deal

   Open the app and pick a rule set: one somebody else wrote, one you made, or a mix. It can be kind or merciless. Press Deal, and every card gets a rule.

   Then deal the cards the way you always do. Nobody knows what is on a secret card until it is played, and a public one is there for everybody to see coming.

3. Play

   Play your game exactly as you know it. When somebody plays a loaded card, tap it on the phone, and a character announces its rule to the whole table. It is rarely good news for them.

   Rules that last stay in play, and Zaragata keeps track of them so nobody has to argue.
